On the Run

Crash Bandicoot: On the Run is the title of King's upcoming Crash Bandicoot mobile game.

You may remember me pointing out leaks of early versions of the game, back at the start of 2020. Well, now all has been officially revealed in this new trailer:

The trailer does most of the talking, but some interesting things of note are that the game looks to use some of the multiverse plot from Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time and using it to great effect. After all, when was the last time we saw the Scorporilla in a Crash game (pst, 2008), let alone the same Crash game as an Ant and Dr. Nitrus Brio?

To be fair, this running type of game looks unusually high calibre for this style of game. It looks like a fun distraction and the visuals really pop. I never thought I'd like a mobile game, but here I am, thinking about getting it upon its eventual release.
