Hasty, Roo and Xmas Too

Activision has unveiled the new Christmas-based Grand Prix for Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled (CTR). The Winter Festival Grand Prix boasts not only a gingerbreader-iffic (sorry) track, but also some dashing-through-the-snow (not sorry) looking karts, including a sleigh. But most exciting of all is the character roster.

Finally making her way from the mobile-based Crash Nitro Kart 2 (2008) is Yaya Panda. I've been wanting Yaya to join the roster for quite some time, so to see her looking all glowed up and cute as a button is absolutely joyous to me. But in addition to Yaya is the other character I was hoping would make an appearance from Crash Bash (2000) - Rilla Roo.

This kanga-rilla popped up out of nowhere in Crash Bash and hasn't been seen since... until now. Despite having little to no personality, I've been wanting him in CTR due to the addition of dialogue lines and animations to give him a bit more personality, as well as to match the surprisingly vast roster that the game now has from the entire series. The only unfortunate thing is... uh, he looks a bit... chin-tastic. A bit more ugly than he should, even. Oh dear.

Finally, an entirely new character has appeared from the aether - Hasty. This moose has appeared to match the snowy theme of this Grand Prix's new track, Gingerbread Joyride, but his origins aren't entirely mysterious. In fact, it you'd like to read up on all the details of where Hasty came from, I think HPZr does it best from Crash Mania, my old haunting digs back when it had a forum. I share the sentiments expressed there.

Aaaaaand I shall leave it there. A short update, but a very festive one, none-the-less!
