Sea of Seals Chapter 11

Leviathan

The winds were in a torrent around the ships as Aera’s attack sucked in all it could. Mirru’s communication signal was failing as she gritted her teeth in anger from the ferocious power that she was seeing. However, not nearly as powerful as Smaz’s.

Carlos looked down aghast at the powerful energy erupting from Smaz’s body, beneath his foot, all the while Smaz gripping to Carlos’ leg, becoming tighter and tighter. A sudden explosion caused a white aura to burst around Smaz as his eyes became entirely red and he roared from the intense energy filling him.

“You’re… a MONSTER, that’s what you are!” Carlos wailed in fear.

Smaz paid no heed to Carlos’ words, but merely gripped tighter onto his leg. It was in this instance Carlos began screaming in pain – Smaz’s gloved hands were crushing the golden armour that surrounded his leg. The impenetrable armour that Mirru had created for the elite. The armour that caused Carlos’ power to increase.

“You do not get it, do you?” Smaz roared, his blood dripping down his face from his slightly crushed nose. From Carlos’ view, the ship suddenly became further and further away below. “I will kill you! Here. Right here in the air. Where you are defenceless.”

Carlos looked around frantically as he realised how far up in the air he was, his foot still on Smaz, and his other standing on nothing, as if there was an invisible floor beneath him.

“S-stop this! Y-you know you can not destroy this armour, Smaz,” Carlos smiled nervously, licking his lips, “for Mirru created it to be perfect in every WAAAAAY-” Smaz crushed the armour as he said this, causing Carlos to scream out in agony from the pressure.

“Your armour is like tin foil to me! Give it up!” Smaz roared and then crushed the leg even more, causing an immense wail from Carlos as Smaz’s hands made contact with each other from either side.

He had crushed the leg armour. He had crushed the bone of the leg. He had crushed the leg.

Smaz gave a confident smile and then growled as Carlos screamed in pain, kicking the elite warrior up into the sky further at such force, a shockwave emitted from the impact location - which was right in the crotch.

Finally standing upright in the air, Smaz looked up at the body zooming away at incredible speed, screaming all the way. He had to have broken the crotch armour, too, from that impact.

Marco stood up, too, carefully waving his hands around as if he were to fall.

“This is pre’ty cool, Smaz. You ‘ave gotta tell me how ye are doin’ this!” Marco smiled and walked over to Smaz. The knight turned he head towards Marco sharply, causing Marco to take the same steps backwards as he did forward, all the while the smile on his face, as if Smaz never glared at him evilly.

“Now to obliterate you, CARLOS!” Smaz shouted up, and then exploded with a white aura, roaring all the while. He raised his arms as he did this, as if to summon something huge. Which is almost exactly what he did.

Marco turned around and his ears drooped in shock as one of the large ships of the king drifted up behind him. In the air. With the small pieces of wood missing, too, from where they had been stripped off into Aera’s tornado.

“Uh… yer… don’t inten’ to… ah…” Marco stopped bothering to speak as Smaz’s arms threw themselves forward towards Carlos. “Well. I guess yer do intend to do tha’.”

The rather immense ship launched forwards at incredible speed towards the soaring body of Carlos, which had just about reached the peak of his height before he was to fall.

Carlos turned his head slowly after having closed his eyes from the pain from his leg and crotch to see a huge ship flying towards him in the air. His eyes became thin and a sweat drop swiftly dripped from his head as he knew what was to come. The worst part was that he couldn’t move.

There was an immense cacophony as the ship crashed into Carlos at full force from Smaz’s levitational abilities, smashing the front of the boat into small wooden pieces, which then flew towards Aera’s tornado.

“If you liked that one, then you will love what I have in store for you next…” Smaz snickered.

“If this keeps up, then this whole vessel will be eradicated!” Mirru wailed in her quarters. She slammed her fist down onto the wooden table next to her as a holographic projection of what she was seeing, through the hologram version of herself, stood in front of her. “This is insane! When did she obtain that kind of power?” Mirru screamed out.

“It’s called magic, and maybe it will be able to beat any kind of elite soldier armour you create through science ANY day!” Aera’s smug voice called back through the projection. Although Mirru could hear Aera, she could not see her at all in the tornado.

“Maybe I will… once I capture you!” Mirru yelled back. Her innocent voice was still intact, but it was evident there was a tint of anger in it from her losing this battle. She looked down at the projection unit she was using, which gave a small bleep. “Oh no… not now!” The unit started smoking. “Dang it! It needs charging with light again…”

The projection of the outside faded out until Mirru was simply staring at the wooden wall of her deck. She sighed briefly. She would have to retreat this fight, for now. There was no way she could win. She made her way to the corner of the small room in which a metallic tube sat.

“I’ll teleport to the ship still in the harbour to escape this… that way I will escape to live another day. It’s my only option.” Mirru said to herself and pressed a small button on the tube, which opened the glass container.

As she was about to step in, a sudden crash interrupted her. She turned around as an elite soldier’s dead body smashed through the wooden walls. More and more bodies crashed through the wood, creating holes, and creating more and more suction from the wind, and more and more transparency to Mirru’s location.

Mirru yet out a yell as the cabin roof suddenly splintered off and flew up towards the tornado. The wind was finally upon her.

She gave out an unhappy yelp as the wind pulled her slowly across the wooden floor. It was no use, however, no matter how far she dug her claws into the wood to stop herself from flying away. Within seconds, she was squeaking with fear as her body flew towards to tornado.

“THERE you are!” Aera roared in triumph as Mirru crossed her path. Within an instant, she stopped darting around and only darted towards Mirru. The wind died down within an instant, causing the bodies and wood to fly around everywhere and hurtle at terminal velocity.

As did Mirru’s body.

She screamed as her body picked up speed in the air as it fell down… down… down to the broken up ship. Down to where Aera was racing towards her position, fist outstretched and ready to give the largest case of being winded to Mirru as she could. She did not want to kill Mirru – the innocent girl would be handy for information.

Aera raced towards Mirru at top speed until eventually Mirru’s body was in contact.

“Prepare for a world of pain!” Aera laughed and rammed her fist into Mirru’s stomach as hard as she could, and in the vertical swoop towards the wooden deck.

Needless to say, the world of pain caused Mirru to be knocked unconscious immediately, and ram her body directly through the deck and down past all of the wood until she hit the stormy waters of below.

Aera slid to a halt and smirked. She had beaten the fleet.

Smaz noticed the tornado had stopped and smiled all the more, his eyes glowing a crimson colour, much like the very same colour of blood that dripped from his muzzle.

He raised his hands into the air once more and a loud rumbling sound, rather like the sound of an Earthquake, erupted all around the air. Marco could only watch in awe at Smaz’s display of power.

Behind Smaz, rising up into the air, was thousands upon thousands of pieces of wood which had broken off of the ships in the tornado attack of Aera’s. All rising slowly into a large pile. Marco crouched. He knew what was coming.

Carlos’ body smashed through the other side of the ship as it continued to travel. Groggily, and very much in pain, Carlos struggle to keep his head up. He slowly raised it, with much force, and one eye closed to see Smaz standing a fair distance away from him in mid-air. Aiming several thousands of pieces of sharp wood at Carlos.

“You… Smaz… you… are a disgrace to everyone…” Carlos spat, as the blood overwhelmed his mouth.

The ship turned around sharply behind Carlos, in mid-air.

“No, you, Carlos… you are a disgrace to the KING.” Smaz retorted, and then pointed forward with his right hand. Immediately following were the vast amounts of wood, all pointing towards Carlos with their sharpest points in his direction.

“YOU DOG!” Carlos roared.

He attempted to turn away, in panic, but could only move his head, and nothing more. Fearful, he turned his head to his side to see the large floating ship press the side of its own wood against Carlos, acting as a wall to many bullets to slaughter Carlos.

This was it.

Smaz gave a mighty roar as the power surged through him and then exploded into the pieces of wood which whizzed towards Carlos’ body. Marco could only gawp at how incredible Smaz looked at that moment in time; his hair was gushing upwards from the pure magic emanating from his body and his body was fuzzing as if he were projection in the speed his body pumped the power at. It was if Smaz was made from fuzzy lines, alone.

Carlos closed his eyes as the wood soared at him at immense speed, until they all stabbed him simultaneously, pinning his severed body onto the ship. Piece of wood after piece of wood continued to fire at Carlos, each one creating a loud whooshing sound through the air until the slick piercing sound crunched through the sharp armour of Carlos, stabbing him in every place imaginable. Yes, even down there.

The barrage continued until no wood remained… in which the smoke cleared from the wreckage. As it did so, Carlos’ body could barely be seen from underneath the wood pinning his body to the side of the floating ship. All that could be seen was the trickling blood that fell from the sky down to the sea.

Smaz took a moment to gasp for breath and gently lowered himself down through the air, as with Marco. The pirate could only simply look at Smaz, bewildered. He had not expected anything of the sort from the knight, at all.

“Well… uh.. done…” Marco could only say in his strong dialect. Smaz gasped, not saying anything more as they touched onto the ground, his eyes returning to their normal red irises and whites behind. The white aura and ferocity slowly died away. Within seconds, Smaz’s world turned black.

He fell down on to the deck of the ship, at the same time the floating ship, from above, fell down in pieces into the water, holding Carlos’ battered body. There was a huge splash as Smaz collapsed and blacked out.
