Hollie Bennet's fuzzy dice, teasing CTR to all...
Orange fuzzy dice have been popping up all over the interwebs! Content creators, YouTubers and Twitter influences alike are all receiving some oversized orange dice with the card "Sliding into the game awards on 6/12". With dice a clear indicator of novelty driving, "sliding" to correspond to "power-sliding" and the dice being fuzzily orange, it doesn't take a genius to realise that this is a tease for Crash Team Racing (CTR).
CTR saw crabby Gasmoxian, Nitros Oxide, challenge Crash and co to a race for planet Earth.
As soon as the likes of PlayStation Access's Hollie Bennett, Instagram user julientellouck and many, many others (not previous Crash Mania forum admin JumpButton) posted their dice, the news spread like wildfire. Everyone connected the fuzzy dots to one clear conclusion. A CTR Remaster is on the horizon!
Eagle-eyed fans will remember that Spyro also received a similar treatment with its egg, earlier in 2018. Many received a shiny egg with the teasing card "Something's about to hatch". There's really little doubt that Activision has pulled the same stunt, this time with Crash.
IGN received a Spyro egg, as did many others, from the mysterious 'Falcon McBob.'
It's not just dice popping up, either. Crash veteran, CrystalFissure, is just one amongst many who also received some special Crash Christmas cookies, seen below. It seems Activision are pushing for a very merry Crashmas announcement, if nothing else.
CrystalFissure, a wonder from down under... with a Crash cookie!
With the annual PlayStation Experience event cancelled for 2018 and shock announcement that PlayStation will not attend E3 2019, it's unsurprising that PlayStation have invaded The Game Awards 2018 with some announcements of their own. Set to go live in the late hours of Thursday 6th December (or early morning of Friday 7th December if you're outside the US), The Game Awards will no doubt delight everyone wanting more PlayStation announcements before Super Smash Brothers Ultimate seizes the gaming community's attention during its release weekend.
